Inclusion Criteria:
At least 1-year history of type 1 diabetes; implementation of treatment with an insulin pump Absence of concomitant chronic diseases which might affect the QoL (e.g. celiac disease).
Exclusion Criteria:
Diagnosis of a different type of diabetes; concomitant chronic disease; history of type 1 diabetes below a year; different treatment modality (e.g. insulin pen injections); lack of informed consent.
Research Purpose:
To compare the influence of two different methods of nutrition education on the QoL in children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes.
Blinding efforts:
The patients were not aware which group they had been assigned to by the educator (single-blind trial).
